Ya'll I'm Irish

And that means St. Patty's Day is my favorite holiday of the year, no really it is! 3 of my 5 tattoos symbolize my Irish heritage, corned beef cabbage is a staple in the Maven household, my son is named after his Irish namesake, I mean we're a bunch of proud Mick's here.  Luckily for us, Denver just so happens to have one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the country and therefore it becomes the hot spot where everyone can be a leprechaun for a day. So tomorrow the Irish celebration commences!! I leave you with some of last years photos, what kind of shananigans can we get into this year??! (Oh and meet some of my family and friends ya'll, do my brother and I look alike? lol)

There are lots of drinks, and Guinness, and green beer, and beads

And there are leprechauns, yes leprechauns

Oh and there will be lots and lots of corned beef cabbage on the stove when we get home. (This was what was left of our 5 gallon stock pot of it last year... YUMM!)

Slainte ya'll (that's Gaelic for cheers!) hope you enjoy the holiday as much as we will!

So. Can I send MacGyver to your house? I'll make colcannon and soda bread, but he has to cook his own corned beef outside. I can't stand the smell of it. He has failed to get me a Shamrock Shake this year, but yet, he is hunting down corned beef & cabbage restaurant specials like nobody's business. I'm not bitter. Not at all. :)

I'm Irish too :)
