The garden is planted!!

Got all of my little organic seedies sewn this weekend, they're now happily growing away in the basement! Here's what I planted: corn, beans, peas, cucumber, squash, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, a colorful carrot mix, pepperoncinis, a colorful bell pepper mix, kohlrabi and red kohlrabi, scallions and red scallions, broccoli, swiss chard, and several varieties of tomatoes. For HL we planted some pumpkin seeds for his first pumpkin and some gourd seeds to make a gourd birdhouse. I also bought some grape vines, we'll see how they fare this year. Oh yea and I decided to do an herb garden this year!

Here's a couple of pics of what I planted! I found this adorable little herb kit that comes with the box, the pots, the soil, and the seeds, like a garden in a box! Check your Home Depot for one, it's awesome! I plant my Dill separately in a huge pot because I use it for canning my pickles.

The giant seed rack residing in my basement for now...

A couple of the tomato plants...
HL's first plants!

I'll take some more pictures when they start to sprout and once the snow out here finally melts I'll get some pictures of my greenhouse and garden!! Happy Spring :)
